However, beneath its majestic landscapes lies a country facing significant challenges—widespread poverty, limited access to education, and deep spiritual needs.

Nepal remains one of the poorest countries in Asia, with nearly 25% of its population living below the poverty line. The economy is heavily reliant on agriculture, tourism, and remittances from Nepalese workers abroad, yet many families struggle to afford even basic necessities. Rural communities, in particular, suffer from lack of clean water, healthcare, and educational opportunities. Natural disasters, such as earthquakes and floods, frequently devastate the country, pushing already vulnerable families further into hardship.

Nepal is a Hindu-majority nation, with over 80% of the population following Hinduism, while about 9% practice Buddhism. Christianity remains a small but growing faith, with believers often facing persecution and social exclusion. Many people in Nepal have never heard the Gospel, and churches struggle to grow due to limited resources, restrictions, and opposition. Yet, the hunger for truth, hope, and transformation is evident, and the need for mission work, discipleship, and support for local churches is urgent.

Despite its challenges, Nepal is a land of opportunity for the Gospel and humanitarian aid. Many orphans, widows, and impoverished families struggle to survive, and churches and Christian schools lack the funding needed to continue their mission. Key areas of need include:

• Orphans & Vulnerable Children – Thousands of children are left without families due to poverty, trafficking, and natural disasters. They need shelter, education, and the love of Christ.
• Widows & Poor Families – Many widows are left destitute, with no means of support. Helping them regain dignity through vocational training and assistance can restore their hope.
• Christian Schools & Churches – In a country where Christian education is scarce, building schools and churches ensures that children receive both academic knowledge and spiritual guidance.
• Missionary & Pastor Support – Local pastors and missionaries are working tirelessly to spread the Gospel, yet they lack financial support and resources.
